Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah has urged the management to ensure better pitches for future home Tests.

His appeal comes after Pakistan posted 448/6 in their first innings, only for Bangladesh to respond with an imposing 565. As of now, Pakistan is 23/1 in their second innings, trailing by 94 runs.

During a press conference following the fourth day's play, Naseem emphasized the importance of passion and discipline as a bowler, acknowledging that the bowling unit could have performed better.

"As a bowler, you have to be passionate and disciplined. We could have done better as a bowling unit too," Naseem said.

He highlighted the need for Pakistan to capitalize on home advantage, stating, "I believe our management tried their best to prepare a good wicket, but now we need to consider how we can maximize our home advantage."

Naseem pointed out that while he doesn't have control over pitch preparation, it's crucial for Pakistan to leverage their conditions, whether by producing green pitches or spin-friendly surfaces.

"Preparing pitches is not in my hand. If we can't make green pitches then we should prepare a spin wicket. We must take the home advantage at any cost. We need to think about this," he added.

It's worth noting that Pakistan last won a Test match at home in February 2021.
