PAK vs AUS: 'I only focus on the ball, not the bowler’, Saim Ayub opens up about his winning mindset

In a dominant nine-wicket victory over Australia in the second ODI at Adelaide, Pakistan’s young opener Saim Ayub credited the team’s collective effort for the win, emphasizing that “everybody contributed.”

“The biggest thing is that we won as a team and everybody contributed,” Ayub stated after his powerful 82 off 71 balls, an innings filled with sixes and clean stroke play.

“The bowling unit was incredible,” he added, praising the efforts of Haris Rauf, who took a sensational 5-29, and Shaheen Afridi, who picked up 3-26, as they dismantled the Australian batting lineup.

Ayub’s innings showcased his clear-headed approach to the game.

“I only focus on the ball and not the bowler,” he noted, highlighting his confidence against a strong Australian attack.

His partnership with Abdullah Shafique (64 not out) ensured Pakistan chased down the 164-run target with ease, leveling the three-match series 1-1 and securing a morale-boosting win for the team.
