PAK vs ENG: Here are records set by England in their dominant Test against Pakistan

In a record-breaking performance during the first Test match against Pakistan in Multan, England set several remarkable milestones, further establishing their dominance in the series. The visitors posted a staggering total of823 runs, marking the highest total ever scored against Pakistan in Test history.

Among the standout performances was Joe Root, who scored an impressive 262 runs, and Harry Brook, who made an extraordinary 317 runs. This partnership not only helped England reach their monumental score but also became the fourth-largest partnership in Test history.

Additionally, this match marked a significant achievement as it was the third time in Test history that two batters scored over 250 runs in the same innings, showcasing the strength and resilience of England's batting lineup.

As Pakistan's bowlers struggled on a pitch that offered little assistance, Ramiz Raja commented on the difficulties faced by the home side. "I really hope the Pakistan team can keep their composure in the dressing room. The bowlers must be wondering about the quality of this pitch. They've put in all the effort, but nothing’s happening," he noted.

With England leading by 267 runs at the innings break, the hosts face a daunting task ahead as they look to bounce back in the remaining days of the match.
