PAK vs ENG: Pakistan announce playing XI for third Test against England

The Pakistan men's national selection committee has officially announced the playing XI for the third and final Test against England, set to begin on Thursday, October 24, in Rawalpindi. According to a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), captain Shan Masood's side will remain unchanged following their impressive performance in the second Test.

The spinners, Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan, proved instrumental in Pakistan's comeback, tormenting the English batsmen and helping the team clinch victory by 152 runs in Multan. This triumph allowed Pakistan to level the three-match series at 1-1, setting the stage for a thrilling decider.

In an effort to replicate the successful conditions from the second Test, the selectors and team management have instructed the curators in Rawalpindi to prepare a pitch similar to that of Multan. Traditionally known for its batting-friendly nature, the Pindi pitch will undergo modifications, with curators employing large pedestal fans and heaters to dry the surface and square.

The series has been a tale of contrasting fortunes for both teams. England began with a commanding victory in the first Test, winning by an innings and 47 runs in Multan. However, Pakistan's emphatic response in the second Test has set the stage for an exciting conclusion to this competitive series.

Pakistan's Playing XI for the Third Test:  Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood (C), Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel (VC), Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Salman Ali Agha, Aamir Jamal, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Zahid Mehmood.
