PAK vs ENG: Pakistan bowlers struggle as England declares at 823 runs

England has established a commanding position in the first Test match against Pakistan at Multan, leading by 267 runs after declaring their innings at 823 for 7.

The match, part of England's tour of Pakistan, has seen a remarkable display of batting strength from the visitors, who capitalized on a flat pitch.

England showcased their batting depth, with several players contributing significant runs. Notably, Joe Root scored a magnificent 262 runs from 375 balls. Alongside him, Ben Duckett provided valuable support with 84 runs from 75 balls, while Zak Crawley contributed 78 runs off 85 deliveries. Harry Brook remained unbeaten on a staggering 317 runs, leading the charge for England and further enhancing their massive total.

The team's total of 823 is one of the highest scores in Test cricket history, and they maintained a brisk run rate of 5.48 throughout their innings. The last ten overs were particularly fruitful for England, yielding 81 runs at a rapid rate of 8.10 runs per over.

Pakistan’s bowlers struggled to make an impact, as they grappled with the pitch conditions that offered little assistance.

As the innings break approaches, Pakistan will need to regroup and strategize effectively to respond to England's massive total. With 40 overs remaining in the day and the match entering a crucial phase, the Pakistani batting lineup will have to dig deep to withstand England's bowling attack and lay a foundation for a competitive chase.
