PAK vs IND: Fatima Sana reveals her strategy strategy to counter India in T20 World Cup clash

Pakistan is gearing up for a thrilling match against arch-rivals India in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, set to take place today at the Dubai International Stadium.

Captain Fatima Sana is fully prepared for the high-stakes encounter, expressing confidence in her team's recent aggressive approach.

In an interview with the ICC, Fatima Sana revealed her strategy to maintain Pakistan’s aggressive style against India.

"I have been watching that whichever team we played against - played attacking cricket," Sana said.

The newly-appointed skipper shared her desire to have batters who can dominate from the very first ball.

"As a bowler, I used to feel that whoever used to bowl against us, used to hit us from the first ball. I wanted our team to have batters who can punish the bowler from the first ball. We have worked a lot on this and you will see the result soon hopefully,” she added.

Pakistan began their World Cup campaign with a solid win against Sri Lanka, where Sana played a crucial role, scoring 20 runs off 30 balls after coming in at No.7. Under her leadership, Pakistan secured victory, making Sana the second-youngest captain to win a Women’s T20 World Cup match, following Australia’s Meg Lanning.

Sana also praised Pakistan’s power-hitting coach for helping the players develop confidence and improve their all-round skills.

“Our power-hitting coach has helped a lot of girls. I think all the credit goes to him because he has given us the belief that you can become an all-rounder,” she said about the coach," she concluded.

India and Pakistan have faced each other 15 times in Women’s T20Is, with India holding the advantage, winning 12 of those matches. Their most recent clash was in the Women's Asia Cup, where India secured a comfortable victory by seven wickets.
