Former Pakistan captain Inzamamul Haq believes that the Men in Green must improve their scoring rate in the first ten overs when they face Australia in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup.

While speaking on his official YouTube channel, the legendary batter said that despite being unbeaten in the competition, there is still a margin for improvement.

"Pakistan need to improve scoring-rate in the first ten overs. They scored runs at an average of six or six and a half which is not good. Our batting is much better and this is a little error which needs to be rectified," Inzamam said.

In the last two matches, Pakistan scored 60 runs in the first ten overs while they accelerated in the final ten overs, smacking 130 runs in each of the matches.

"Australia is a big side compared to Scotland and they won't allow you to score as many runs at the backend," he added.

Meanwhile, Inzamam commended veterans Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez for gaining form before the all-important semi-final.

"Hafeez was out of form but he looked in great touch in last two games. Malik, who was not able to play a big knock due to lack of chances, scored the fastest fifty. It is a great sign that senior batters have regained form," he maintained.

It must be noted that Pakistan and Australia will lock horns in the second semi-final on November 11 at Dubai International Stadium while England face New Zealand a day before in the first semi-final at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
