PAK vs ENG: Pindi stadium pitch preparations in full swing ahead of decisive third Test

With the third and final Test between Pakistan and England set to begin on October 24, preparations at the Pindi Cricket Stadium are intensifying. Ground staff are working meticulously to ensure that the pitch is ready for the series decider, scheduled to run until October 28.

In an effort to maintain a dry surface, pedestal fans and heaters, similar to those used during the second Test in Multan, have been placed around the pitch. These measures proved effective for Pakistan in Multan, where spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali played crucial roles in securing a victory for the home team.

This time around, three heaters are positioned on each side of the pitch, with black cloth covers draped at both ends to speed up the drying process.Sources reveal that these efforts are aimed at making the pitch more conducive to spin bowling, following advice from Pakistan's newly-appointed selector Aaqib Javed.

After the success of his strategy in Multan, Javed has recommended that the groundstaff at Pindi Stadium keep the entire square as dry as possible. Javed is also expected to visit the stadium to inspect the pitch ahead of the third Test.

The series is currently tied at 1-1, with England taking the first Test and Pakistan leveling the series in the second. Led by Shan Masood, Pakistan is now focused on sealing the series 2-1 in the final Test.
