After successfully hosting Sri Lanka for a limited-overs series, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is confident about playing the Test series with the Islanders at home.

PCB is scheduled to host Sri Lanka for two Test matches in December, as part of the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Test Championship.

The board wants to play the two Tests in Karachi and Lahore, however, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has maintained that they would take a final call regarding the Test tour after the conclusion of the limited-overs series.

The PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wasim Khan are currently in Dubai to attend an International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting and are expected to discuss the aforementioned Test series with SLC officials on the sidelines.

Mani is also expected to meet with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials and inquire about the progress regarding Bangladesh women’s team limited-overs tour to Pakistan later this month.

The board officials have already started preparing to welcome the Bangladesh women’s team, but the BCB is yet to approve the tour.

Bangladesh men’s team is also scheduled to tour Pakistan for two Tests and three T20Is in January next year. PCB is looking to convince Bangladesh to play the entire series in Pakistan.
