Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to appoint a new project director for the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to Daily Express, the current project director of PSL Naila Bhatti has decided to step down from her post.
Bhatti — who is also serving as board’s marketing director — was given additional charge of PSL project director by previous PCB Chairman Najam Sethi. She was also considered as one of the close companions of the former PCB chairman.
If she resigns a month or two before the PSL’s next edition, General Manager International Cricket Operations Usman Wahla, Director Domestic Cricket Operations Haroon Rashid and Director International Cricket Operations Zakir Khan are likely to be the frontrunners to replace her.
Earlier Bhatti’s sudden promotion had come under question in Auditor General of Pakistan’s report because she was less qualified for the post.
It is worth to mention here that, the board has to sell PSL’s broadcasting rights, sponsorships and executive rights very soon.
