The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent the proposed schedule of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 to franchises.
According to the schedule, the maximum of ten matches will be held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, while eight matches will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. National Stadium Karachi and Multan Stadium will host five matches each. Furthermore, four matches will be held at neutral venues.
Limited matches in Karachi are due to crowd turnout in the last season. All ten matches of Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars will be day-night matches. Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi will play nine matches each, while Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans will play eight matches each under floodlights.
Kings will host all five matches of the schedule in Karachi. Qalandars will also play half of their matches at home ground. Gladiators will play five of their matches in Lahore. Sultans and United will be seen in action five times each on their respective home grounds i.e. Multan and Rawalpindi. Five matches of Zalmi will also be played in Rawalpindi.
Moreover, teams will report on April 7, 2025. Practice sessions will continue till 11th April. Opening match will be played between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi on Saturday, April 12th. Two matches will be played the next day, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi while Kings and Multan Sultans will face each other in Karachi.
The initial series of matches in Rawalpindi will end on April 19, while the matches at the National Stadium Karachi will be completed on the 21st.
Matches will start in Multan from April 22 and in Lahore from 24th. The last match will be played at Gaddafi Stadium on May 4, after which Rawalpindi will host four and Multan will host two matches.
There will be no match from 11th to 14th May, after which the qualifier will be played on a neutral venue on 15th May, the eliminator on 16th, the qualifier 2 on 18th and the final on 20th May.
While the PCB has not revealed the names of the neutral venue in the proposed schedule, it is likely to be England. Remember that this is the initial schedule of the matches, the franchises will review and contact the PCB and changes are most likely possible.
