PCB to reschedule PSL 9 final due to low turnout concerns?

The first Qualifier of PSL 9 between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans held at Karachi's National Bank Stadium on Thursday saw disappointing attendance despite the presence of notable players such as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, prompting worries about fan engagement in Karachi compared to other cities like Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi throughout the tournament.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, the PCB plans to keep the final in Karachi, as they've committed to a home and away format this season.

Furthermore, apprehensions linger regarding the attendance for the PSL final, which will take place on a Monday for the first time in the tournament's history.

Unlike the previous editions, where the final concluded on weekends, PSL 9 features a rest day on Sunday, with the final scheduled for March 18, a Monday.

Despite these concerns, there is a sense of optimism within the PCB that the crowd turnout for the final might be better, thus there are no plans to alter the final's date.
