Peshawar Zalmi has officially confirmed a partial replacement for Afghanistan's Naveen-ul-Haq in the upcoming ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Naveen-ul-Haq will be unavailable for Zalmi due to national commitments, and in his absence, emerging pacer Aimal Khan has been selected as the replacement.
In last week's Replacement Draft, Zalmi had reserved their pick for Naveen. However, with the Afghan cricketer occupied with national duties, the team has secured the services of Aimal Khan to fill the void. Additionally, Shamar Joseph, a young pace sensation, has been signed as the partial replacement for England's Gus Atkinson.
Peshawar Zalmi has actively addressed other player availabilities, making strategic moves in the Replacement Draft. Waqar Salamkheil has been drafted in the silver category to replace Lungi Ngidi, who will not be available for the entire season. Fast bowler Khurram Shahzad will only be partially available, and in his absence, pacer Arshad Iqbal has been named as the replacement in the silver category.
Furthermore, Gus Atkinson is set to step in for Noor Ahmed, who is unavailable to Peshawar Zalmi due to international commitments.
