This triumph puts the Men in Green at the third spot of the points table with two points. Their next challenge will be against Ireland in Florida on Sunday, June 16.
Canada, on the other hand, will aim to bounce back and score more points when they face India on Saturday in Florida. Group A’s next match is set for Wednesday, June 12, between India and USA in New York.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the super eights, which will feature 12 games, before the top two from each super eight group will qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be played in Barbados on June 29.
