The South Africa secured a commanding victory over Sri Lanka by six wickets in the T20 World Cup match on Monday in New York. This triumph puts the Proteas at the top of the points table with two points. Their next challenge will be against Netherlands, on Saturday, June 8.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will aim for their first points when they face Bangladesh on June 7 in Dallas. Group D’s next match is set for Tuesday, June 4, between Netherlands and Nepal in Dallas.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the super eights, which will feature 12 games, before the top two from each super eight group will qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be played in Barbados on June 29.
