Karachi Kings clinched a commanding seven-wicket triumph over Quetta Gladiators at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Despite suffering a setback early in the chase with Shan's (7) dismissal by Mohammad Amir, Tim Seifert and James Vince formed an important fifty-run partnership.
Despite Vince's departure (28) due to Akeal Hosein, Seifert maintained an aggressive approach, forming a resilient partnership with Shoaib Malik, who remained unbeaten until the conclusion of the match.
Seifert was eventually dismissed on 49, while Malik concluded the game with an unbeaten score of 27.
Earlier, after opting to bowl first, Karachi asserted their dominance by restricting Quetta to a modest 118 runs.
Hasan Ali played a pivotal role, securing four wickets and conceding only 15 runs in his spell. The initial breakthrough for Karachi came from Blessing Muzarabani, dismissing Jason Roy (15). In response, Saud Shakeel and Khawaja Nafay formed a solid 47-run partnership for the second wicket in just 36 balls until Hasan Ali claimed his first victim, dismissing Shakeel.
Shakeel emerged as the top-scorer for Quetta Gladiators with an impressive 33-run innings off 28 balls, featuring two fours and two sixes. Ali struck again in the same over, removing Nafay (17), triggering a collapse as Quetta struggled to recover.
Akeal Hosein played a brisk 14-run cameo in 13 balls. However, Karachi Kings' tight bowling prevented any significant recovery for Quetta Gladiators, who concluded their innings at 118.
