Saim Ayub and Babar Azam have matched a significant milestone in the Pakistan Super League's history by equaling the record for the most century partnerships.
This achievement unfolded during a PSL match against Lahore Qalandars, where the Zalmi pair formed an impressive opening stand, accumulating a total of 136 runs. This marks the fourth instance in 14 innings where Saim and Babar have orchestrated a partnership of 100 runs or more, placing them on par with the previous record-holders, Mohammad Rizwan and Rilee Rossouw, who achieved the same feat in 16 innings.
Babar scored 48 from 36 in the aforementioned match, whereas Saim departed after smashing 82 from 55 balls. Both batters were dismissed by Qalandars’ skipper Shaheen Afridi.
