PSL 9: Sikandar Raza fined match fee for showing dissent at umpire's decision

Sikandar Raza, representing Lahore Qalandars, has been fined 10% of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the HBL PSL's code of conduct due to dissent towards an umpire's decision.

The incident occurred during the match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Sunday evening.

Raza expressed his disagreement with the umpire's decision regarding a delivery three times during the game by raising his arms, shaking his head, and gesturing that the delivery should have been called a wide ball.

This action violated article 2.8 of the code of conduct, which prohibits players from showing dissent at an umpire's decision during an HBL PSL game.

It is worth noting that the charge against Raza was issued by on-field umpires Chris Gaffaney and Rashid Riaz, and the fine was imposed by match referee Ali Naqvi.
