PSL pitches favoring batters, says cricket expert Harsha Bhogle

In the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), cricket expert Harsha Bhogle has expressed his surprise over the state of pitches being used in the tournament.

In a recent tweet, Bhogle commented that despite being a tournament that usually favors fast bowlers, the batters seem to dominate the matches this year.

Bhogle's tweet has sparked a debate among cricket enthusiasts, with many expressing their views on the quality of pitches being used in the PSL.

Some have criticized the pitches, saying that they are not offering enough assistance to the bowlers, while others have defended the tracks, stating that they are fair to both batsmen and bowlers.

Yesterday's clash between Peshawar and Lahore was a premium example of why Harsha Bhogle raised his voice about the pitch favoring the batters. Lahore Qalandars went on to score the highest runs in PSL 8.

Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi, scored 241 runs which their batters smashing boundaries all over the ground. In reply, Zalmi were restricted to 201 but also crossed the 200-run mark.

The PSL is known for its fast bowling talent, with many young pacers making a name for themselves in the tournament.

However, this year, the likes of Babar Azam, Azam Khan, Abdullah Shfique Mohammad Rizwan, and a few new emerging talents have been scoring runs at will, indicating that the pitches are not as bowler-friendly as they have been in the past.

While some experts have blamed the lack of grass cover on the pitches, others have pointed out that the dry conditions in Pakistan could also be a factor.

Despite the criticisms, the PSL has continued to produce some exciting cricket, with many close encounters and nail-biting finishes.

With the tournament still in its early stages, it remains to be seen whether the pitches will continue to favor the batsmen or whether the bowlers will eventually find a way to adapt.
