With the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) underway, it has been revealed that top performers from the tournament can be considered for the upcoming home series against Australia.
The Australian team is set to visit Pakistan for the first time since 1998 and the preliminary consultation regarding the squad is already underway.
The final squad for the Australian tour is set to be announced by February 9 while the series is set to kick off by March 3.
According to sources, the selection committee has started preliminary consultation and the final consultation with captain Babar Azam will be done by February 8. Once the entire homework is completed, the names will be sent to PCB chairman Ramiz Raja.
Sources close to the selection committee have informed that a couple of changes in the Test squad are expected whereas ODI and T20I squads will potentially see the introduction of PSL performers.
The selectors have already been informed to keep track of progress made by young players participating in the PSL.
