Former Pakistan leg-spinner Abdul Qadir has lashed out at Indian media, cricketers and experts, over their irresponsible act of accusing Pakistan for Pulwama Attack that left over 40 India soldiers dead.
Talking exclusively to Express News, Qadir said: “India and Pakistan relations have not been smooth in past, but this time they went a step ahead by accusing Pakistan for Pulwama attack without any reason.”
He further said that statements from cricketers to boycott playing Pakistan in every sport were quite sad.
“Statements from Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh and other cricketers to boycott playing Pakistan in every sport are quite sad and painful.”
Qadir —who played 67 Test and 104 One-Day Internationals for Pakistan — urged them to stay quiet if they cannot speak the truth: “If you cannot speak the truth, you should avoid sharing your thoughts on this issue.”
Giving his views on Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said that he knows Khan very well but also warned that India should not take his peace offering lightly.
“I know Imran Khan very well. He is a brave man. I warn you that don’t take his peace offering as a weakness,” he said. “Let’s sit and have a dialogue. Accusing is not an option and it will make the situation worse.”
