Indian captain Rohit Sharma and senior batter Virat Kohli have expressed their disappointment over the behavior of fans during the team’s practice session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). According to reports, both players were unhappy with spectators shouting and demanding specific shots while they were training in the nets.  

The Indian team has been preparing intensively for the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, set to begin on December 26 at the MCG. This match is crucial as the series stands level, making it a virtual decider.  

India previously opted for closed-door training sessions after fans reportedly abused players during the first Test in Perth. However, the MCG session was open to the public, where the unwelcome distractions caused discomfort to the senior players.  

Rohit and Kohli, both under pressure to perform, have struggled with the bat this series. Rohit has managed just 19 runs in two games, while Kohli, excluding his century, has only managed to score 26 runs in three tests. Both players will aim to deliver standout performances to boost India’s chances of reclaiming the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
