Jason Roy’s sublime knock was enough for England to thrash Sri Lanka in the only T20I by 30 runs in Colombo on Saturday.
After being put into bat first, Eoin Morgan-led unit posted a competitive total of 187 for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs, where Roy finished with the top score of 69 off just 36 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes.
For Sri Lanka, veteran pacer Lasith Maling and left-arm spinner Amila Aponso claimed two wickets each.
In reply, the Islanders never get going and were eventually bowled out for just 157, where captain Thisara Perea finished the innings with the top score of 57 off 31 balls with the help of one four and six sixes.
For England, part-time spinner Joe Denly was the star of the show as he claimed four wickets.
