Shaheen's win is my win, says Mohammad Rizwan

Lahore Qalandars who their first-ever HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) title after defeating Multan Sultans in the final of season seven.

Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi, had to seven years to be crowned as champions. The home side managed to score 180/5 runs after electing to bat first and restricted Sultans to 138.

Sultans' skipper Mohammad Rizwan hailed his team efforts in a Twitter post and thanked his teammates, fans, owners, and the support staff.

On the other hand, he was happy for his Pakistan teammate Shaheen Afridi and added that Shaheen's win is my win.

“Multan Sultans played like champions and champs get up after being knocked out. Yakeen rakhna hai. Thanks to all the fans, staff, players, coaches and owner. Really happy for Lahore Qalandars. Shaheen's win is my win."

 

 

 

The comradery between the duo has been witnessed by everyone throughout the HBL PSL 7.

Meanwhile, Shaheen is grateful to all the relevant stakeholders of Qalandars for the belief in the side that they can win the coveted title. He also hailed Sultans and Rizwan for playing like champions.

"The wait of 7 long years has finally ended. We are PSL champions, Alhumdulillah," Shaheen tweeted.

"Grateful to every single player, coaches, owners, staff and super fans for your belief. You made it possible. Rizwan Bhai and Multan Sultans, you fought like champions," he added.
