Pakistan left-arm pacer Usman Khan Shinwari will represent Melbourne Renegades in the eight edition of Australia’s Big Bash League.

24-year-old Shinwari — who made his T20I debut for Pakistan against Sri Lanka in 2013 — is keen on playing a pivotal role in the team’ success.  

"I have watched the Big Bash with interest in recent years and I've been impressed with the quality of the competition," said Shinwari according to cricket.com.au. "I'm hoping I can bring something different to the team with my bowling and help the Renegades push for success."

The Pakistan international will feature in the first seven games of next season and will then be replaced by England’s left-arm quick Harry Gurney.

The 2018-19 edition of Big Bash League will take place from December 19, 2018 to February 17, 2019.
