Shoaib Malik, Pakistan veteran all-rounder, has finally opened up on a tweet following the national team's T20 Asia Cup 2022 final loss to Sri Lanka on September 11 at Dubai International Stadium.
Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 23 runs in the UAE's final match of the Asia T20 cup 2022. The poor performance of Pakistan's middle order throughout the tournament widespread criticism.

During a local television program, Malik said, "It wasn't out of frustration that I wasn't a team member. I never talk for myself. There are many individuals who support me.
"Being a spectator, I got angry, but It wasn't limited to the Asia Cup final. I am accustomed to our system and culture because I participate in domestic cricket. I've also observed that players are frequently favored and liked in domestic cricket. It was related to that and a wake-up alert to the concerned people," he maintained.
The 40-year-old also said that few people told him that the tweet was the reason he wasn't chosen.
"If I wasn't selected because of this and our system gets better, I am glad I wasn't selected," he added.
