Shoaib Malik stars as Pakistan down West Indies in World Championship of Legends

Pakistan secured their second victory in the ongoing World Championship of Legends by defeating West Indies by 29 runs at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.

Opting to bat first, Pakistan posted a target of 195 runs. Despite a slow start and early dismissals, Sharjeel Khan's quickfire 35 off 15 balls and Shoaib Malik's composed 54 off 41 balls anchored Pakistan's innings to reach 194/8.

In response, West Indies struggled against Pakistan's bowling attack, with only Dwayne Smith (65 off 46 balls) and Jonathan Carter (34 off 25 balls) making notable contributions.

Pakistan's bowlers maintained pressure throughout, with Sohail Tanvir taking 4/14, Shahid Afridi claiming 3/41, and Wahab Riaz chipping in with 2/18, restricting West Indies to 165/9.

This win followed Pakistan's earlier triumph over Australia, marking a strong start to their campaign in the tournament.
