The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), according to a local TV channel on Saturday, has issued show cause notices to three former cricketers over fake degrees and providing wrong data for the official records.
All three players, who have been issued show cause notices, have represented Pakistan on an international level.
Former cricketer Zahid Ahmed has been issued the show cause notice for fake degrees and providing wrong data. Former Test cricketer Azeem Hafeez has been issued a show cause notice for fake degrees while former cricketer Faisal Iqbal, who is the nephew of batting great Javed Miandad, has been issued a show cause notice for providing the wrong name and year of birth.

All-rounder Zahid Ahmed has represented Pakistan in two One-day Internationals (ODIs).
Fast-bowler Azeem Hafeez has represented Pakistan in 18 Tests and 15 ODIs while picking up 63 wickets and 15 wickets respectively in each format.
Right-handed batsman Faisal Iqbal has represented Pakistan in 26 Tests and 18 ODIs while scoring 1124 runs and 314 runs in each format respectively.
