Sohaib Sheikh returns to PCB as Director PSL

Sohaib Sheikh, who held the position of Senior General Manager of Marketing at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) until 2019, has made a comeback as the Director of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). This return suggests that Naila Bhatti, the current league commissioner and a close ally of Najam Sethi, may face challenges in retaining her position. Notably, PCB franchises were not consulted regarding Sohaib Sheikh's reappointment.

Faisal Hasnain, who had been sidelined for a period due to not having a CEO position as per the new constitution, left the country some time ago. His departure was connected to a payment of $15,000 from the board, which was cited using Wasim Khan's case as an example. Faisal had also been assigned to special projects, a department designed for former officials who are redeployed when necessary, similar to the case of sending Zakir Khan to the academy.

Former Director of Media, Sami-ul-Hasan Burney, has also been transferred to special projects but has been absent from the office for an extended period. Nevertheless, he continues to receive his salary and other benefits.

Shoaib Naveed, who previously served as the Head of Broadcast Rights, Production, and Emerging Platforms at PCB and was involved in American cricket as an advisor, has been terminated, and his contract was not renewed.
