South Africa’s side, that will tour Pakistan after a gap of 14 years, will train at Karachi Gymkhana, during their quarantine period, for their matches against the Men in Green.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Director Media Samiul Hassan Burney, when contacted by an Express News correspondent on Friday, confirmed the news while revealing that the guests would be provided with the finest available facilities for training.
“The South African team will stay in Karachi Gymkhana in a bio-secure atmosphere where they will be provided with the finest facilities available for training. The team will use the ground at the Karachi’s Gymkhana for practice. The guests will be provided the appropriate security measures during their stay,” said Burney.
An official from Karachi Gymkhana also revealed that all arrangements will be made to provide the visiting South Africa side with the facilities they need for training.

South Africa’s squad is scheduled to arrive in Karachi on January 16 and will play the first Test at the National Stadium in Karachi from January 26-30. They will then travel to Rawalpindi where the second Test will be held from February 4-8. The iconic Gaddafi Stadium, headquarters of Pakistan cricket, will be the venue of the three T20Is, which are scheduled for February 11, 13 and 14.
The visitors are expected to undergo seven days of quarantine upon arrival to Pakistan at a local hotel. Both sides are scheduled to conduct practice sessions and intra-squad matches at the National Stadium in Karachi before the beginning of the first Test.
