Wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan scored his maiden Test century as Pakistan stretched their lead past 350 on day four of the ongoing second Test against South Africa in Rawalpindi.
Despite taking a 71-run first innings lead, Pakistan found themselves in a spot of bother, after losing five wickets for just 76 runs on the board, but Rizwan, who was ably supported by the lower order, put Pakistan in a strong position through his brilliant century.
With the lead nearing 400, South Africa have got their work cut out bearing in mind that batting in the fourth innings won’t be an easy task by any stretch of the imagination on a pitch which is slowly deteriorating.
Pakistan lead the two-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Karachi by seven wickets.
