Two Pakistani players included in U19 World Cup team of the tournament

Pakistan U19 World Cup campaign finished with the Boys in Green finishing fifth in the tournament. The campaign was backed by some tremendous individual performances from a number of players.

Following the end of the tournament, the International Cricket Council  (ICC) announced the team of the tournament and players who were considered to be the most valuable.

Two players from Pakistan barged their way through the team with some glittering performances namely opening batsman Haseebullah Khan and pacer Awais Ali.

Haseebullah Khan registered some great performances with the bat as he became the first player in the tournament's history to score a century twice in one campaign. He scored 135 against Zimbabwe U19 and followed that up with a 136-run inning in the playoff game against  Sri Lanka.

In addition to the centuries, Haseebullah also played a decisive 79 run inning against Bangladesh U19 which Pakistan ultimately won by 6 wickets.

In total, the batsman finished as the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament with 380 runs at an average of 76.

For Awais Ali, he finished the tournament as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 15 wickets. His performances made a huge impact as his most performances came against Zimbabwe (6-56), Afghanistan (3-36), and Bangladesh (3-52).
