Umar Akmal working hard to make Pakistan comeback

Pakistan hard-hitting batter, Umar Akmal, is motivated and committed to making a solid comeback in the national team; however, solely based on his performance.

While speaking to the media on Tuesday, the 33-year-old stated confidently that only those players secure their spot in the national team when their performance speaks for itself. He reinstated that he is putting his shoulder to the wheel to get the deserving spot in them.

"All performers get their deserving chance in the Pakistan team. I'll keep working hard, and if God wills, I will make a comeback in the national team," Umar said.

The discarded middle-order batsman extended his best wishes to the players in the training camp.

"My best wishes to the national team's players who are working really hard in the training camp. Players are giving their 100 percent in this extreme heat," he said.

"I am also equally training hard at the Salman Qadir Cricket Academy, and my focus is on my fitness as well since it is very important along with performance." he further added.

Upon being asked about his plans regarding the Lankan Premier League, he said, "I will give my 100 percent if I'm selected for Lanka Premier League."

Lankan Premier League's auction is set to take place on June 14, 2023, while the tournament will take place from July 30 to August 22, 2023.
