Usama Mir leaves Champions One-Day Cup midway to attend family matters

Panthers’ all-rounder Usama Mir will not play in the upcoming matches of the Champions Cup as he is traveling to England for family reasons, as reported by a local news channel.

The 28-year-old leg-spinner has only played three matches in the tournament. He informed the Pakistan Cricket Board about his family obligations ahead of time. Usama was also absent from the current match against the Stallions due to illness after suffering from food poisoning, which has left him feeling weak.

Despite his absence, Usama has made notable contributions in the tournament, taking five wickets overall. He achieved a standout performance against the Lions, claiming three wickets, including those of Irfan Khan, Shaheen Afridi, and Ahmed Daniyal. In another match against the Dolphins, he dismissed Muhammad Akhlaq and Sahibzada Farhan.
