Wahab Riaz will be available to represent Peshawar Zalmi in the upcoming eighth edition of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL). PCB representative confirmed the development.
Pakistan fast-bowler was recently appointed as the sports minister in the caretaker cabinet of the Punjab government in Pakistan. He was expected to take oath as sports minister on the evening of February 12.

There was doubt over Wahab’s participation as sources close to him had said that it would be unlikely that the left-arm pacer would be able to represent Zalmi in the tournament, due to the burden of increased responsibilities as minister.
However, on the request of PCB management committee chairman, Najam Sethi, care-taker Chief Mohsin Naqvi has agreed to held the oath ceremony after the conclusion of the marquee league.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi made the aforementioned appointment as part of an 11-person caretaker cabinet following the dissolution of the assembly and the end of Pervez Elahi's tenure as chief minister.
