Wasim Akram praises Imran Butt’s fielding

Pakistan opener Imran Butt failed to impress with the bat during his debut Test series, against South Africa, but his fielding in the slip cordon was pretty much spot on.

Legendary Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram also praised Butt’s catching in the slips after Pakistan won the second Test against South Africa in Rawalpindi.

“Imran Butt is the best Pakistani slip-fielder I have seen in the last 5 to 6 years. He has taken 2 difficult catches on a low and slow pitch. He's done a great job,” said Akram.

The 2-0 win is only Pakistan's second over South Africa in 12 Test series, having lost eight and drawn three.

Pakistan won the first Test by seven wickets in Karachi.

Pakistan's only previous series win over South Africa was in a two-match series at home in 2003.
