Pakistan’s umpire Aleem Dar surprised spectators and onlookers alike, during the ongoing third and final Test between Australia and New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney on Sunday, when he sprinted across the pitch at a very fast speed.

Dar found himself on the wrong end while officiating during New Zealand’s first innings. He ran across from square leg to point in order to correct his position. The umpire reached a top speed of 17 KM/H during the sprint. Australia’s Matthew Wade was delighted at the speed with which Dar crossed the pitch and applauded the effort.

Dar’s antics lit up the proceedings on the third day of the third and final Test as Australia took a commanding lead over the Kiwi’s.
