Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Omer became emotional while praising former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed for his contributions to the franchise and the country.
 
Despite leading the team to three finals and securing the 2019 title, Sarfaraz has been replaced as captain for PSL 9 by South Africa's Rilee Rossouw, with Saud Shakeel as the deputy. Sarfaraz will now participate as a wicketkeeper-batsman in the upcoming edition. 

At a promotional event, Nadeem expressed gratitude to Sarfaraz for his leadership, leading to an emotional moment and a supportive hug from Sarfaraz.

"We can never forget what you have done for Pakistan and Quetta Gladiators," Nadeem said.
