PSL fans were treated to a classy knock by Peshawar Zalmi’s emerging player, Saim Ayub, which reminded them of the Pakistan legend, Saeed Anwar.
After in-form Ihsanullah dismissed Babar Azam on his first delivery, Saim came into bat and hit the pacer for a glorious boundary on the very first ball of his innings.
The left-hander wasn’t done yet as he dispatched a short delivery by Ihsanullah for a six over fine leg in the same over.
Saim was in no mood to stop as he began the next over with a six against Carlos Brathwaite.
The 20-year-old took a particular liking to Abbas Afridi as he the smashed the pacer for a no-look six and boundary to complete his maiden PSL fifty in just 33 balls.
Saim was dismissed for 53 as his stumps were castled by Usama Mir.
The social media users were quick to make comparisons between the batting style of Saim and Anwar.
