Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has said that T10 version of cricket should be used as cricket’s gateway to Olympics.
While speaking to media in Karachi, Khan said that cricket is being played all over the globe which is why it should be included in the Olympics.
“T10 cricket should be included in Olympics,” said Khan. “Cricket is played all over the world and it makes sense to include the sport in Olympics as well.”
Khan was also optimistic about Pakistan’s chances of winning series against New Zealand: “Pakistan have a good chance to win the Test series against Kiwis.”
Khan — who is the top run-scorer for Pakistan in Test matches — also said that the board should be patient with players in order to bring the best out of them, ahead of the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.
“PCB should give time to players in order to ensure that they perform to the best of their ability,” he said. “This is important bearing in mind the upcoming World Cup in England.”
