Former Pakistan cricket captain Younis Khan has been appointed as the mentor of the Afghanistan cricket team.  

Younis Khan will work with the Afghan team as a mentor during the ICC Champions Trophy.  

It is worth mentioning that Younis Khan previously served as Afghanistan's batting coach in 2022.  

According to Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) spokesperson Syed Naseem Sadat, the ACB has entrusted Younis Khan with the role of mentor specifically for the Champions Trophy.  

Syed Naseem Sadat added that Younis Khan will join the Afghanistan team ahead of the tournament's commencement.
