Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has described the ICC Champions Trophy as a challenging tournament format.

Speaking at a press conference in Dubai ahead of India's match against Bangladesh, Rohit highlighted the tournament’s unpredictability.

"The Champions Trophy has a format where a single defeat can push a team away from the knockout stage. But we shouldn’t overthink it and drive ourselves crazy," he said.

The Indian skipper emphasized the importance of playing to their strengths.

"Other teams play according to their strengths, and we will also step onto the field with a strong combination," he added.

Addressing the inclusion of spinner Varun Chakravarthy in place of aggressive opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit remarked, "The ball hasn’t been spinning much in practice. If he has something hidden up his sleeve, we will find out in the match."

Rohit also stressed the need for responsibility among players, particularly the batters.

"All players, especially the batsmen, will have to take responsibility. We haven’t seen the pitch yet, but we will play according to our plan," he concluded.
