The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formed a 14-member governing council for the Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL) to address franchise concerns.

The governing council will comprise of eight PCB officials and six team owners.

The board will be represented by Chairman Ehsan Mani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wasim Khan, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Subhan Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Badar Manzoor Khan, Director Commercial Babar Hameed, Senior General Manager Legal Salman Naseer, Head of Players Acquistion and Management (PSL) Imran Ahmed Khan and Senior General Manager Cricket Operations (PSL) Usman Wahla.

As far as the franchises are concerned, following will be part of the governing council:

The PCB has scheduled a governing council meeting on September 30 in Karachi, in which the board’s Chairman Ehsan Mani and CEO Wasim Khan will discuss team owner’s reservation over several matters.

The franchise owners are concerned with the worsening economy and the continuous fall in the dollar rate and are likely to ask for relief with regards to the bank guarantee.
