After securing a convincing win against their arch-rivals Lahore Qalandars in the eighth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 on Sunday, all-rounder Aamer Yamin of the Karachi Kings, attributed their success to the unwavering confidence instilled in them by their president, Wasim Akram.

During a press conference, Aamer spoke about the team meeting before the match, where Wasim Akram gave them a much-needed pep talk.

"Wasim Bhai boosted our confidence during the meeting. He advised us to play aggressively and not buckle under pressure," said Aamer.

Despite facing a setback when the Kings' leading bowler, Mohammad Amir, left the field due to pain in his right leg, Aamer stepped up and bowled exceptionally well, taking two wickets and conceding only 18 runs in his three overs.

When asked about Amir's absence, Aamer expressed his admiration for the world-class bowler and revealed that he learns a lot from him.

He also assured the fans that Amir is doing fine and will be available for the next match.

Looking ahead to their next game against Multan Sultans on February 23, Aamer, who hails from Multan, called on the people of his hometown to come out and support his team.
