Pakistan"s head coach, Aaqib Javed, is likely to be assigned new key responsibilities instead of continuing as the national team's coach.
According to media report, Aaqib Javed may be appointed as the Director of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), replacing Nadeem Khan. Nadeem Khan, who was previously in charge of the NCA, has resigned and joined Multan Sultans.
The reports further stated that Aaqib Javed is interested in working at the National Cricket Academy. His contract as the interim head coach of the national team has ended. Aaqib was appointed as the interim head coach for the white-ball team in November and for the red-ball team in December.
With Pakistan's journey in the Champions Trophy coming to an end, Aaqib Javed's tenure as head coach also concluded.
Additionally, sources have suggested that Aaqib Javed will likely be removed from his position with the national selection committee. It may also be difficult for other selectors to retain their roles.
