Lahore Qalandars' head coach, Aaqib Javed, remains optimistic about turning the tide in their favor despite facing a challenging situation.

Qalandars have lost all five of their matches thus far in PSL season 9. Moreover, they are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table.

To keep their playoff dreams alive, Lahore must secure victories in all of their remaining five matches, aiming to accumulate a total of 10 points.

Speaking to the media in Lahore, Aqib highlighted the team's ability to navigate both favorable and challenging circumstances in the past.

"The team's morale is high, and we are determined to stage a comeback by winning the remaining five matches," Aaqib said.

Focusing on the team's recent performances, he emphasized that the losses have been narrow, with the team falling short by only a few runs or in the last over, rather than substantial margins.

The head coach also opened up about the poor form of Fakhar Zaman in PSL 9.

"Fakhar Zaman is a class player and is one of PSL's top batters, and he will soon be back to form," he said.

Aqib also mentioned the strategic adjustments made in the batting order to create a right-left combination. He emphasized that although planning is crucial, it may not always produce the intended outcomes.

Addressing the absence of fast bowler Haris Rauf, who suffered a shoulder injury, Aqib Javed expressed the rarity of bowlers like Rauf and the palpable impact of his absence. However, he expressed confidence in Rauf's imminent strong comeback.
