Remember, he suffered pain in his chest during a match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in December 2021. He was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome and a stent was placed in Abid's blocked coronary artery in an angioplasty surgery.

Speaking to this correspondent after the match, Abid Ali said that he did not feel any discomfort while batting. "I was a bit nervous over playing my first match after heart surgery but thanks to Almighty Allah, the time on the field went well."
