Pakistan opening batsman Abid Ali has made his way back to the training nets after successfully recovering from his heart surgery last year.

The 34-year-old was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome in December 2021 and since has been under rehabilitation.

Abid was hospitalized after feeling discomfort in the chest during the last round fixture of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy between Central Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He received two stents during the surgery.

The right-handed batter posted a video on his Twitter where he was batting in the nets in full flow. He also wrote a message for his fans while sharing the video.

"Ramadan is a blessing and my training is getting better in this blessed month. With your prayers, this batting will come from the nets to the field and the Pakistan team, In Shaa Allah," Abid Tweeted.
