ACC, PCB officials in Sri Lanka for Asia Cup preparations

PCB officials arrived in Sri Lanka on Thursday, while officials from the Asian Cricket Council are already in Sri Lanka taking part in the ongoing ACC Men's Emerging Teams Asia Cup

The officials of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are currently in Sri Lanka in order to discuss preparation plans pertaining to the Asia Cup.

PCB officials arrived in Sri Lanka on Thursday, while officials from the Asian Cricket Council are already in Sri Lanka taking part in the ongoing ACC Men's Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

Accordingly, the ACC and PCB officials will make an inspection tour to both the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (PICS) in Kandy (tomorrow) and the RPICS in Colombo, the two venues where the matches to be held in Sri Lanka during the Asia Cup will be played.

The ACC and PCB delegates will also hold further discussions with Sri Lanka Cricket officials pertaining to the preparation for the upcoming Asia Cup. The visit comes just a day after the Asian Cricket Council and the Pakistan Cricket Board announced the schedule of the Men's ODI Asia Cup 2023.

The 50-over format tournament will be held from August 30 to September 17, with Event Host Pakistan staging four matches and mine matches being held in Sit Lanka, including the finals.
