Nepal secured a six-wicket victory against Pakistan in the ACC U19 Women’s Asia Cup, held at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. The win helped Nepal qualify for the Super-Four stage of the tournament.
Chasing a modest target of 105, Nepal's captain Puja Mahato led the charge with a brilliant unbeaten 47 off 47 balls, including three boundaries. Her composed innings ensured Nepal reached the target with an over to spare. For Pakistan, Fatima Khan and Quratulain picked up a wicket each but couldn’t stop Nepal from cruising to victory.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat, posting 104 for 5 in their 20 overs. Opener Komal Khan was the top scorer with 38 runs from 43 balls, hitting two fours. Maham Anees, batting at number five, added an unbeaten 29 off 38 balls with two boundaries. Nepal’s captain Puja Mahato also contributed with the ball, taking 2 for 27.
